The people of Greenland challenged Trump by showing his 56 inch chest, saying – We are neither Americans, nor will we ever be.

Greenland Protest Against US : At this time in Greenland, the day temperature drops to minus 1-2 degrees and at night to minus 3-4 degrees. In such a bone-chilling cold, the people living here used to make arrangements for heat and stay in their homes, but now the situation has changed due to the bullying of US President Donald Trump. Trump’s slanted gaze has set the snowy country on fire. Thousands of people took to the snow covered roads on Saturday. This demonstration is being said to be the biggest and organized mass movement so far.

The people of Greenland have openly opposed the pressure from US President Donald Trump in which he is talking about American control over Greenland. Usually, news like melting glaciers and climate change used to come from this peaceful country, but after American pressure, voices of rebellion are becoming louder from here. The protesters gathered and clearly said that Greenland will neither be sold nor become a part of America.

People landed in Greenland’s capital Nuuk

There was a scene in Nuuk, the capital of Greenland, which was never seen before. In this city with a population of about 20 thousand, about a quarter of the people took to the streets. They had national flags, placards and posters in their hands. It was written on them – ‘Greenland is not for sale’. Along with this, these people raised slogans and reached the American Consulate from the city center. In view of security, the American Consulate was sealed by the police. Similar support demonstration in Greenland. as well as in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, and other European cities.

Greenland Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen also participated in this march. He climbed a snowy mound and waved the flag, seeing which the crowd applauded loudly. People participating in the protest said that Trump’s repeated statements have forced them to take to the streets. The protesters present there were repeatedly saying that we had said this earlier also and now we are saying it again that we are not for sale. This is our voice and we will not remain silent. The direct message from Greenland is – ‘We neither belonged to America, nor will we ever belong’.

During the visit itself, news came out from America that Trump has announced to impose 10 percent tariff on Denmark and some European countries. These are the same countries which are opposing the American occupation of Greenland. After this news, the anger of the protesters increased further but many people said that freedom and self-determination are more important than economic loss. The tension regarding Greenland has now reached the international level. NATO countries like France, Germany, Sweden and Norway have announced military deployment there. Denmark says that this step has been taken to strengthen the security of the Arctic region.

Donald Trump has repeatedly said that America needs Greenland for national security. They argue that if America does not control Greenland, then China or Russia can increase their influence there. Although Russia had made fun of his claim, the White House has also made it clear that Trump is not going to back down from this goal. Currently, he has given time of June and said that if no one comes with him on this issue, then 25 percent tariff will be increased on them.
