Patna: The Nitish Kumar led government in Bihar has taken an important step towards further strengthening the administrative system. The state government has handed over charge of districts to ministers for effective monitoring of development schemes and public welfare programmes. An official order in this regard has been issued by the Cabinet Secretariat. Changes in administrative structure after assembly elections
After the 2025 assembly elections, a new government was formed under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. After this the ministers were given the responsibility of their respective departments. Now in this sequence, the state government has also appointed ministers in-charge of the districts. The government says that the minister in-charge of the district will not only review the progress of the development schemes, but will also ensure resolution of issues related to public interest by maintaining better coordination with the district administration. With this, the plans will not be limited to papers but will be visible on the ground.
