Actually, Rohit Sharma was in good form in the Australia tour and the ODI series against South Africa, but his bat remained completely silent in the ODI series against New Zealand. Rohit has scored 61 runs in this series and his average was 20.33. In such a situation, after the defeat in the third ODI, Captain Gill was questioned about Rohit’s form. On this he said, “I think Rohit Sharma has been in great form from the Australia series to the South Africa series… It is not always possible to convert a good start into a big score. I think Rohit got a good start in the New Zealand series also. As a batsman, you always want to convert your good start into a big score and convert it into a century. That is what you always strive for. But it is not possible to do so every time.”
King Kohli remained a one man army till the end
In the first innings of the third ODI, New Zealand scored 337 runs thanks to century innings by Darryl Mitchell and Glenn Phillips. In response to which the Indian team was all out for 296 runs. In the end he was forced to take a big shot and was out after scoring 124 runs in 108 balls. Nitish played important innings of 53 runs and Harshit played 52 runs.
