Maharashtra civic elections: Political turmoil continues

New Delhi. The situation in Maharashtra politics seems to be changing again after the results of the recently concluded civic elections. Talks are going on between the parties regarding the post of Mayor in various municipal corporations. In this, especially the post of Mayor of BMC is being discussed the most. There has been increased activism among various political parties to get this post.

New political equation of Congress

In the civic elections, Congress has created a strong position for itself by leaving behind the factions of Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar. These election results are not only an encouraging sign for the Congress, but are also creating possibilities of changing the equations within the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). Due to this change, new challenges may have to be faced in future politics.

Status of other municipal corporations of Maharashtra

There is mutual competition between political parties in various municipal corporations of Maharashtra. Every party is busy activating its supporters so that they can strengthen their position. In the times to come, it will be interesting to see which team is able to maintain its effectiveness and which one moves ahead.
