Rajasthan: Rumor of dream in AC coach of Dayoday Express at Kota railway station
On Sunday night, there was chaos among the passengers at Kota railway station in Rajasthan due to the spread of information about the presence of a snake in the AC coach of Dayoday Express. The train was going from Ajmer to Jabalpur and even before reaching Kota, news spread that there was a snake in the coach.
As soon as the information was received, some passengers left their seats out of fear and stood up, creating chaos in the coach. Many passengers remained scared for about two hours. The incident was informed to the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and the snake catcher, after which the system became alert.
After receiving the information, famous snake catcher Govind Sharma was called. Govind Sharma had said that he got information about snake in the train at around 7 in the evening, after which he directly reached Kota station. The incident is said to have happened on platform number 4 at around 10 pm.
As soon as the train reached Kota station, RPF personnel and snake catcher started checking the AC coach. First of all, a detailed investigation was conducted in AC coaches 1 and 2 for about 10 minutes, but no snake was found there.
During the investigation, a child, who was being interrogated with the passengers, was found with a fake rubber snake of approximately one and a half feet long. The child’s family members said that the child was playing with a snake toy while playing and it slipped out of his hands and fell under the seat.
During this time, a traveler noticed it and mistook it for a real snake. Due to fear, the passengers made noise, due to which the rumor of snake presence spread throughout the train.
Govind Sharma had said that RPF personnel were already patrolling the train between Sawai Madhopur to Kota and the snake was being searched. Keeping in mind the safety and convenience of the passengers, the railway administration had also made additional arrangements at Kota station. After thorough investigation of both the AC coaches, it was clear that there was no real snake in the train.
After this, the passengers got relief and the train was sent for its further journey.
