UAE President reached India: PM Modi broke protocol and welcomed him at the airport, Al Nahyan will stay in Delhi for just two hours

New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi received United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the Delhi airport on Monday. This is an indication of how much importance India attaches to Al Nahyan’s visit.

According to the schedule released by the Foreign Ministry, Al Nahyan will stay in the national capital for less than two hours. The UAE President’s visit to India comes amid the situation arising out of the deterioration in Iran-US relations in West Asia, rising tensions between Saudi Arabia and the UAE over Yemen and the unstable political scenario in Gaza.

Al Nahyan and Modi will soon hold comprehensive talks. The two leaders are expected to hold talks on trade and investment, defense industry cooperation and energy initiatives, officials said. He said that the situation in West Asia is also likely to be discussed between the two leaders. This is Nahyan’s third official visit to India since assuming power, while it is his fifth visit in the last 10 years.

Let us tell you, according to the ministry, trade between the two countries has crossed the figure of $ 100.06 billion in the financial year 24-25, which shows an impressive increase of 19.6 percent. Along with this, this achievement makes UAE one of its special trade partners for India. Let us tell you, the relationship between India and UAE has become stronger in the last few years. Both the countries have further strengthened trade relations in different sectors. PM Modi has been awarded the Order of Zayed, the UAE’s highest civilian honour, by the UAE in 2019.
