‘Dhurandhar’ box office smash, film hits 7th week; ‘Pushpa 2’ record in danger?

Aditya Dhar’s spy action thriller “Dhurandhar” shows no signs of slowing down. Ranveer Singh And Akshay Khanna The film has completed a historic journey of one and a half months at the box office. Still, it is doing business faster than any previous film. Even on its 45th day of release, the film has collected three times more than “Pushpa 2”. While Allu Arjun’s film was released in five languages, “Dhurandhar” was released only in Hindi. Moreover, at the end of the seventh week, it has collected 8.50 crores domestically, while “Pushpa 2” has collected 3.55 crores. The film is now on track to gross 1300 crores worldwide. However, it still lags behind the lifetime earnings of “Pushpaa 2”, which stands at 409 crores domestically and 458.60 crores worldwide.

There is no doubt that the movie “Dhurandhar” has been a wonderful turning point for Hindi cinema. Made on a budget of Rs 280 crore, the film grossed 194.67% more than its budget in the country. Even on Sunday, it grossed twice as much as newly released “Happy Patel” and “Rahu Ketu”. Veer Das’s “Happy Patel” collected Rs 1.5 crore on its third day of release, while Pulkit Samrat-Varun Sharma’s “Rahu Ketu” collected Rs 1.75 crore.

According to Sacknilk, “Dhurandhar” collected 3.75 crores on its seventh Sunday in India. The day before that, Saturday, it earned 3.00 crores and the Friday before that, it earned 1.75 crores. In its seventh weekend, the film earned a whopping 8.50 crores. After 45 days the total collection of the film at the Indian box office is now 825.10 crores.

“Dhurandhar” has now become the highest grossing Hindi film in India. He achieved this success by surpassing his Telugu original “Pushpa 2”, but out of his lifetime earnings of 1234.10 crores, he earned the highest 812.14 crores from its Hindi dubbed version. “Dhurandhar” has overtaken it, but still ranks fourth in the list of highest-grossing Indian films in the country.
