Nitin Nabin elected unopposed as BJP National President, official announcement to be made tomorrow


New Delhi. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has finally got a new national president. Working President Nitin Nabin has been elected as the National President unopposed. However, his name will be officially announced tomorrow i.e. Tuesday. 37 sets of nomination papers were filed in favor of Nitin Nabin. During the nomination process for the post of National President, many senior party leaders including Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Minister and former National President JP Nadda, Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, UP CM Yogi Adityanath were present at the BJP party headquarters and participated in the nomination process.

Election Officer Dr. K. Laxman told that the election process has been completed and only the name of Nitin Nabin was proposed for the post of National President. All the nomination papers were found completely correct in the investigation. Nitin Nabin is going to take charge of the party as the 12th National President of BJP and he will be the youngest National President of the party till date. The election process for the national president was started after the completion of the elections of BJP state presidents in 30 out of 36 states. This number is much higher than the minimum requirement of 50 percent.

Let us tell you that the National President of BJP is elected by the electoral college consisting of representatives of the party’s National Council and State Councils. According to the BJP constitution, any 20 members of the electoral college of a state can jointly propose for the post of national president the name of a person who has been an active member of the party for four terms and has completed 15 years of membership. It is also important that such a joint proposal should come from at least five states where National Council elections have been held.
