How much refund will be given on cancellation of confirmed ticket?

According to the Railway Department, if your Vande Bharat Sleeper train ticket is confirmed and you cancel it, then at least 25 percent of the ticket price will be deducted. This rule can be implemented any time after the ticket is confirmed. At the same time, if you cancel your ticket between 72 hours to 8 hours before the scheduled time of the train, then 50 percent of the total amount will be deducted and only half the amount will be returned to your account. Similarly, if you cancel your ticket less than 8 hours before the scheduled departure of Vande Bharat Sleeper train, you will get zero amount as refund.

Why was the new rule implemented?

Railways said that this rule has been implemented because the reservation chart will be prepared exactly eight hours before the scheduled time of the train. Let us tell you that earlier the reservation chart was prepared four hours before the scheduled time.

What are the rules for canceling confirmed tickets in other trains?

• In other trains, if you cancel the ticket 48 hours in advance, then Rs 240 is deducted for First AC.
• If you cancel a confirmed Second AC ticket, a fee of Rs 200 will be deducted.
• Apart from this, if the third AC class ticket is cancelled, then Rs 180, Rs 120 for sleeper class and Rs 60 for second class are deducted.

How many km fare will be charged?

• Fare will be charged for a minimum distance of 400 kilometers in Vande Bharat sleeper trains.
• There will be quota for women, disabled, senior citizens and those with duty pass in these trains.
• Apart from these special quota, common passengers will not get any other facility.
