Raebareli Visit: Rahul Gandhi will establish Chaupal in the village with farmers and laborers in Raebareli today, will inaugurate the T20 cricket tournament.
Rae Bareli. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Rae Bareli MP Rahul Gandhi is arriving on a two-day visit to his parliamentary constituency from Monday. This is his first tour after winning the elections, in which he will go from village to village and sit among the people and listen to their problems. Rahul Gandhi’s two-day Raebareli visit mainly focuses on issues related to farmers, laborers (especially MNREGA workers), party organization strengthening and local development. Rahul Gandhi will reach Rae Bareli by road from Lucknow. Will reach Bhuemau Guest House in the evening/late night and interact with party officials and workers. There will be night rest here.

Meeting with delegations and public in the morning at Bhumau Guest House. Inauguration and foundation stone laying of MP Fund (MPLADS) schemes. Will inaugurate the Rae Bareli Premier League T20 Cricket Tournament organized by Youth Sports Academy Rae Bareli at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium located in ITI Colony. Some reports say that he can also play some balls with Indian cricketer RP Singh.
MNREGA Chaupal: Will set up Chaupal with MNREGA workers, farmers and laborers in Umran (or Rohaniya) village of Unchahar block. Here he will take stock of the works of MNREGA scheme, interact directly with the workers and listen to their problems (wages, facilities etc.). This is part of Congress’ ‘Save MNREGA Sangram’ campaign, which is against the Central Government’s VB-G RAM G Act (which opposes the change/removal of name in MNREGA).
Will hold a meeting with senior leaders on January 21 at Bhuemau Guest House. This tour is being considered as his important rural/public relations tour after winning the elections from Rae Bareli. Panchayat election preparations, SIR issue and rural development can also be discussed. The district administration and CRPF have made strict security arrangements.
