James Gunn addresses rumours about Wonder Woman and Batman auditions
James Gunn recently addressed online speculations about Wonder Woman and Batman casting in upcoming Man of Tomorrow movie.
The head of DC Studios reportedly debunked fan theories and insider reports, clarifying that the movie doesn’t include these two characters and only emphasises on Superman’s story.
While responding to a fan on threads, James said, “All those rumours of Batman and Wonder Woman auditions are false.”
“The main news was Brainiac. Most of the other significant roles are characters that viewers are already familiar with. Casting is currently underway for smaller roles,” mentioned the Guardians of the Galaxy director.
Another fan questioned about the rumour surrounding Wonder Woman role in forthcoming movie, James replied, “No. We are currently casting a female character in (Man of Tomorrow). My only guess is scoopers are taking a stab at guessing that’s (Wonder Woman).”
However, fans are still expecting to see other characters in the highly anticipated movie including Mister Terrific, Hawkgirl, Starfire, Big Barda and Jenny Sparks – each character is linked to future DCU plotline.
Meanwhile, the new Superman: Legacy is scheduled for July 2027 release.
