Western disturbance will be active in Rajasthan from 22nd, possibility of rain and storm with Mavath
Jaipur. The weather in Rajasthan is going to take a turn once again. Meteorological Center Jaipur has predicted an active western disturbance to be effective in the state from January 22. Due to this, there are chances of cloud cover, strong thunderstorm, lightning and light to moderate rain in many parts of the state. In view of this, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert.
Due to the activation of Western Disturbance, a period of Mavath may begin in the state, due to which fluctuations in temperature will be seen. According to experts, this could be the first good month of this winter season. On Tuesday morning, there was dense fog in many districts including Jaipur, Bhiwadi, Bikaner, Sikar. Malviya Nagar, Jagatpura, Transport Nagar and other areas of Jaipur city remained affected by mist and fog till morning. Visibility reduced significantly due to fog, due to which drivers had to face problems.
The situation remained serious in Sikar district. Fields in Ranoli area were seen covered in a thick blanket of fog. Visibility here was limited to only 50 to 60 meters.
The effect of change in weather was clearly visible on the temperature also. On Monday, there was a slight drop in the maximum temperature in Jaipur, Ajmer and Bharatpur divisions, due to which the feeling of cold increased even during the day. Due to clouds and fog, sunlight remained weak and in many areas there was a slight dark atmosphere in the afternoon.
The minimum temperature in Sikar dropped by more than four degrees. While the minimum temperature was 9.4 degrees Celsius on Monday, it dropped to 4.9 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.
Due to fog and stable weather, the air quality has become very poor in many cities of the state.
According to weather experts, the effect of cold wave and fog may persist for the next few days in many districts including Jaipur. At the same time, back-to-back western disturbances are likely to remain active for the next one week, due to which hailstorm and rain may continue.
Experts say that this winter season there were less active western disturbances in December, hence the cold was not severe. After snowfall in the hilly areas in January, the cold gained momentum and now the cold is expected to increase further from Mawath.
