In Kurar village, a 20-year-old youth allegedly sexually assaulted and brutally beat an innocent puppy of just two and a half months old. This incident came to light when the video related to the rescue operation went viral on social media and there was huge anger among the people.

There is anger among animal lovers and social organizations after the incident came to light. People have demanded strict action against the accused. Due to the promptness of the animal welfare organization and the police, the puppy was saved in time, although its condition is said to be critical.

The accused was caught red handed

In a video shared by animal welfare organization PAL (Pure Animal Lovers) Foundation, Mumbai Police personnel and local animal activists are seen entering a public toilet in Malad East. It was at this very place that the accused youth was allegedly caught red-handed. It can be seen in the video footage that the accused refuses to open the door at first. After this the police were forced to break the door and the young man was taken into custody.

It is being told that the accused was almost naked at that time and was wearing only shorts. As soon as the police brought him out, the people present there reacted sharply. Seeing the anger of the people, an atmosphere of tension was created on the spot, however, the police controlled the situation and took the accused into safe custody.

The organization made an emotional appeal along with the viral video, writing, “The puppy is currently under medical care and his condition is critical. This cruelty should not happen to any animal. We demand justice.”
