IND vs NZ 1st T20I: India has defeated New Zealand by 48 runs in the first T20 match played in Nagpur. In this match, Team India, batting first, scored 238 runs for 7 wickets. In reply, New Zealand team could score only 190 runs for 7 wickets. Glenn Phillips played the highest innings of 78 runs for New Zealand. Whereas Mark Chapman contributed 39 runs, but could not lead the team to victory.
New Zealand had a bad start
New Zealand had a very bad start to chase the target of 239 runs given by India. Arshdeep Singh dismissed Devon Conway on the very second ball of the innings. Devon Conway could not even open the account. After this, in the very second over, Hardik Pandya gave another blow to New Zealand. He made Rachin Ravindra walk. Rachin walked out after scoring 1 run. New Zealand had lost 2 wickets on the score of 1 run. Then Tim Robinson left after scoring 21 runs in 15 balls.
Glenn Phillips’ innings did not work
After this, there was a good partnership between Glenn Phillips and Mark Chapman for the fourth wicket, but then in 2 overs, Glenn Phillips and Mark Chapman went away. Phillips played an innings of 78 runs in 40 balls. Whereas Mark Chapman was out after scoring 39 runs on 24 balls. As soon as these two wickets fell, New Zealand’s hopes of victory also ended.
After this, Daryl Mitchell also could not do anything special and was out after scoring 28 runs on 18 balls. While Mitchell Santner remained unbeaten after scoring 20 runs on 13 balls. Varun Chakraborty and Shivam Dubey took 2-2 wickets for India. Whereas Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Singh and Axar Patel got 1 success each.

Team India’s batting was like this
After losing the toss, Team India came to bat first and scored 239 runs for 7 wickets. Abhishek Sharma played an explosive inning of 84 runs in 35 balls. During this he hit 5 fours and 8 sixes. Rinku Singh scored unbeaten 44 runs on 20 balls, which included 4 fours and 3 sixes. Whereas captain Suryakumar Yadav played an inning of 32 runs in 22 balls. While Hardik contributed 25 runs in 16 balls. Jacob Duffy and Kyle Jamieson took 2-2 wickets for New Zealand.
