During its fourth-quarter earnings announcement on Tuesday, the company announced plans to revamp its mobile app and expand the short video feature, which the company says could help promote the new original video podcast it launched last week. Netflix’s new mobile app is scheduled to launch in late 2026.
According to company co-CEO Greg Peters, the aim is to “better fuel the expansion of our business over the coming decade.” This update will form a basis for continued experiments, helping the company “iterate, test, evolve and improve” its products over time.

According to reports, the upcoming new design of the Netflix app will include a personalized feed, which will show trending clips, recommendations, and interactive prompts. The app will also have short-form video previews, which will be designed like TikTok’s content style.
Some interactive features like polls, quizzes and community discussions related to shows and films will also be included in it. The app will also take into account daily searches and give users the opportunity to enhance their regular watchlist.
