Once again, sharp statements have been seen in international politics regarding Greenland. A Danish MP made a strong attack on former US President Donald Trump and used extremely derogatory language in public. According to the report, the lawmaker told Trump, “Mr. President, f*** off,” which deepened the controversy.
This statement came during the ongoing debate over the sovereignty of Greenland. It is noteworthy that during his tenure, Trump had expressed his desire to buy Greenland, to which both Denmark and Greenland had lodged strong opposition. Recently, when this issue came into discussion again, this reaction of the Danish MP came to the fore.
The Danish MP said in clear words that Greenland is not a property that can be bought or sold. He also reiterated that the future of Greenland will be decided by the people there themselves, and not by any outside power.
