Border 2 Advance Box Office Collection Day 1: The much-awaited sequel to the 1997 blockbuster Border is finally hitting the big screen after 29 years. Border 2, based on a new story but rooted in the indomitable spirit of Indian soldiers, is all set to release on January 23, 2026. The film marks the comeback of Sunny Deol, this time with a new age star cast like Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty and Diljit Dosanjh.

Ever since it was announced, Border 2 has been one of the most awaited films, and the recently released trailer has added to the excitement. Now, even before its theatrical release, the film has made a huge impact at the box office through advance bookings.

Advance booking started four days in advance

Advance booking for Border 2 began on January 19, four days before its release. Within hours, thousands of tickets were sold, and the film started earning crores. The special thing is that even a day before its release, the film has earned as much as many films are not able to do even on their opening day.

According to Sacnilk, Borderlands 2 has been released in 2D and 4DX formats. The film has received 13,597 shows, and so far, around 1,76,265 tickets have been sold through advance booking. Based on these figures, the film has earned ₹5.65 crore from advance sales alone. Including block seats, the total advance collection has increased to around ₹10 crore.

Will Border 2 be able to break the record of the original film on its first day?

With around ₹10 crore already in the account before its release, expectations of a massive opening at the box office are high. The original Border, released in 1997, had a lifetime domestic collection of ₹39.46 crore, while its worldwide gross was over ₹50 crore.

Going by the current trend, Border 2 is expected to break the records of the original film in just a day or two of its release. All signs are pointing towards the same thing – Border 2 is gearing up for a historic box office run, and Sunny Deol’s patriotic roar is set to echo across theaters once again.
