Vikram Prabhu’s Sirai becomes a major profitable venture as film earns over Rs 30 crore

Actor Vikram Prabhu’s latest film Sirai from director Suresh Rajakumari has turned out to be a commercially successful venture at the box office as the courtroom drama has minted over Rs 31 crore globally. Made at a modest budget of Rs 3 crore, the film’s revenue increased manifold since its release on December 25 last year, thanks to positive word-of-mouth reviews and critical ratings.

Seven Screen Studio, which backed the film, shared that the film, which also stars LK Akshay Kumar in a pivotal role, has made Rs 31.58 crore worldwide at the end of its theatrical run. The makers also expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming love poured on their film by audiences.

Out of the Rs 31.58 crore, Sirai minted Rs 27.27 crore in Tamil Nadu, Rs 0.31 crore from Kerala, Rs 1.05 crore from Karnataka and Rs 2.95 crore from overseas markets.
