Will Team India’s playing 11 change in the second T20?
After winning the first match by a big margin, there seems to be little possibility of any major change in the winning combination of Team India. Captain Suryakumar Yadav has already indicated that the current combination—two leading fast bowlers, one lead spinner, three all-rounders and five batsmen—has worked for the team. Under the captaincy of Suryakumar, India has not lost any bilateral T20 series so far, which has further strengthened the confidence of the team management.
However, there is definitely talk of a possible change. Vice-captain and all-rounder Axar Patel got injured in his hand while bowling in the first T20. After the match, his finger was seen bandaged, due to which there are speculations that he may be rested in the second match as a precautionary measure. If this happens, then either Harshit Rana or Kuldeep Yadav may get a chance in his place in the playing eleven.
India’s probable playing-11
Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson (wk), Ishan Kishan (wk), Suryakumar Yadav (captain), Hardik Pandya, Rinku Singh, Axar Patel (vice-captain), Varun Chakraborty, Shivam Dubey, Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh.
There are options like Shreyas Iyer (for the first 3 matches), Harshit Rana, Ravi Bishnoi and Kuldeep Yadav on the bench.
New Zealand’s probable playing-11
In the New Zealand team, Tim Robinson and Devon Conway (wicketkeeper) will open the batting, while Rachin Ravindra, Glenn Phillips and Mark Chapman will strengthen the middle order. Experienced Daryl Mitchell is an important pillar of the team and all-rounder Mitchell Santner will play the role of captain. The bowling responsibility will be on Kyle Jamieson, Ish Sodhi and Jacob Duffy, while Christian Clarke provides additional options to the team.
Players like James Neesham, Michael Bracewell, Matt Henry, Bevan Jacobs and Zachary Foulkes are present on the bench.
What will be special in Raipur?
Raipur ground is generally considered helpful for batsmen, but here spinners can also get turn in the middle overs. In such a situation, Team India will once again try to put pressure on the Kiwi batsmen with the help of its balanced bowling unit. Overall, fans are fully expecting a high-voltage match in Raipur T20, where India will want to strengthen its lead in the series and New Zealand will be aiming to make a comeback.
