Homebound film out of the race for Oscar 2026
No place found in nomination list
Honebound, Mumbai: On January 22, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences released the nomination list for the Oscars 2026. Indian film Homebound was in the race, but it failed to make it to the nomination list and was out of the race to win the Oscar. Earlier, the film was included in the top 15 films in the International Feature Film category, raising the expectations of the audience.
Features of the film
Produced under Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Homebound stars Ishaan Khattar, Vishal Jethwa and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles. This film received positive response from the audience. Out of the 15 films that were selected in the International Feature Film category, only five have received nominations.

The winner will be announced by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on March 15. On that day it will be clear which film wins the Best International Feature Film award. Along with this, awards will also be given in Best Actor, Best Actress and other categories.
