Draymond Green on Europeans: “They do little dirty stuff”
Larsson was involved in a physical exchange with DeMar DeRozan during Miami’s 130–117 win over Sacramento on January 20. The incident, which occurred late in the fourth quarter, led to a flagrant-1 foul on DeRozan after he made contact with Larsson’s head and neck area.
The 24-year-old guard recorded career highs in assists with nine, while adding 16 points and six rebounds against the Kings.
Earlier in the month, Larsson also had a confrontation with Devin Booker on January 13, when Booker shoved him on a drive to the basket. Larsson’s response earned praise from teammates and coaches for standing up to physical play.
Green highlighted the reputation that comes with aggressive play, telling Larsson, “If that’s who he’s going to be, commit to it and stay there because guys going to start going at you like that. It’s just what comes with it.”
The Heat currently sit at 23-21, eighth in the Eastern Conference. Larsson has contributed 9.5 points and 2.9 rebounds per game while averaging 3.2 assists. Key contributors include Norman Powell (23.7 PPG) and Bam Adebayo (17.2 PPG, 9.6 RPG).
