gist of the story
The story of ‘Chikkatilo’ begins in 1999 in Rajachandrapuram village in Telangana, where an MRO officer tortures a female dancer. After this, increasing crimes against women and police neglect are shown in the village. The story then comes to the present day, where Sandhya (Shobhita Dhulipala), is a crime journalist of a well-known TV channel. She is busy uncovering stories of real life crimes.
Sandhya discovers a change in the script in her office, which makes her realize that she is not getting freedom in her reporting. Meanwhile, through their conversation, she learns that she can start a podcast in which true crime stories can be told without any pressure. The story takes a new turn when Sandhya and her boyfriend learn that their intern Bobby and his partner have been murdered under suspicious circumstances.
The police begin their investigation, but Sandhya, being a crime journalist herself, decides to get to the bottom of the case. She gives important clues to the police, which helps them track down the killer. As the number of murders increases, the case becomes a nationally discussed topic. The main question of the film is whether Sandhya will be able to expose the killer and will her own safety be in danger?

Shobhita Dhulipala has left a deep impression in the character of Sandhya. He has played the role of a fearless and determined journalist with confidence and seriousness. However, the quality of some VFX scenes was poor, which hampers the viewing experience a bit.
