Development agenda in PM Modi’s rally in Thiruvananthapuram, launch of Swanidhi Credit Card

Thiruvananthapuram. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday held a massive road show in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of poll-bound state Kerala. This road show was organized starting from Thampanoor overbridge till Putharikandam ground. During this, the Prime Minister inaugurated, laid the foundation stone and flagged off various projects. He also launched PM Swanidhi Credit Card and distributed PM Swanidhi loans to one lakh beneficiaries.

What did the Prime Minister say in his address?

PM Modi said that today the whole of India is making united efforts to create a developed India.
He said that our cities have a huge role in building a developed India. The Prime Minister said that for the last 11 years, the Central Government has been investing a lot in urban infrastructure. He said that the Central Government is doing a lot of work for the poor families of the city. He said that under PM Awas Yojana, more than four crore houses have been built in the country and given to the poor. More than one crore houses were built for the urban poor. 1.25 lakh urban poor of Kerala have got their permanent houses. He further said, electricity bills of poor families will be saved. For this, PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme was started. The poor are getting free health treatment worth Rs 5 lakh from Ayushman Bharat. A scheme like Matri Vandana has been made for the health protection of women power. The central government has made income up to Rs 12 lakh tax free. The people of Kerala have also benefited greatly from this, especially the middle class and employed people. Prime Minister Modi said that in the last 11 years, a huge work has been done to connect crores of countrymen with the banking system. Now poor SC, ST, OBC, women and fishermen have also started getting bank loans easily. They do not have any guarantor, the government itself is becoming their guarantor.

‘Street vendors will get PM Swanidhi Credit Card’

He further said, the condition of the street vendors who sell goods on the roadside and in the streets was also very bad earlier. PM Swanidhi scheme was made for them. After this scheme, lakhs of friends across the country have got a lot of help from banks. Lakhs of street vendors have got a loan from a bank for the first time in their life. Now the Government of India is going one step ahead and giving credit cards to these friends. A little while ago, PM Swanidhi Credit Cards were also given here. There are 10 thousand friends in Kerala and 600 in Thiruvananthapuram. Earlier only the rich had credit cards. But now street vendors also have credit cards.
