Pakistan wants to take advantage of Bangladesh’s attitude in T20 World Cup Gujarati

New Delhi, 19 January 2026 : The ICC T20 World Cup 2026, to be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka, is at risk. Due to increasing political tension between India and Bangladesh, controversy has started in the sports world also. Bangladesh has expressed hesitation about playing in India due to security reasons and has demanded to change the venue, in which now Pakistan has also jumped in.

According to Pakistani TV report, Pakistan has assured full support to Bangladesh in this matter. Pakistan has strongly stated that no country should face pressure or threats regarding hosting responsibilities. According to sources, Pakistan itself can review its participation in this World Cup.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been showing interest in the Bangladesh dispute since the beginning. On January 11, 2026, PCBA had expressed its desire to host Bangladesh’s matches.
