Initiative of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, people’s problems were heard by going from village to village

Chhattisgarh News: To implement Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai’s vision of Antyodaya and good governance, ‘Mission Connect’ has been started in Sukma district. The objective of this campaign is to reduce the distance between the administration and the common people and to deliver government schemes directly to the public. This initiative has been started under the direction of Bastar Divisional Commissioner Mr. Doman Singh and the guidance of the Collector.

Officers reached every village, heard problems on the spot

Under Mission Connect, district level officers reached about 60 panchayats of Chhindgarh development block. The visit was not limited to mere formal inspection, rather the officials interacted directly with the villagers and understood their problems. Since morning, officers were seen active in schools, Anganwadi centres, ashram-hostels, gram panchayats and health centres.

Emphasis on quality and transparency of services

During the inspection, the quality of mid-day meal and supplementary nutrition was checked on the spot. The availability of medicines, cleanliness and condition of arrangements in the health centers were examined. The progress and quality of ongoing construction works in Gram Panchayats was also reviewed, so that proper utilization of government funds could be ensured. The officials sat among the villagers and listened to their problems and suggestions, which further strengthened the people’s trust in the administration.

Chhattisgarh News: Collector and CEO held review meeting

After inspection, a review meeting was organized in District Panchayat Chhindgarh. Collector Shri Amit Kumar and District Panchayat CEO studied the information received from all the Panchayats in detail. The Collector directed that district level problems should be resolved immediately and state level issues should be immediately sent to the concerned departments.

Aim to reach the benefits of schemes to the last person

Collector Shri Amit Kumar said that the objective of Mission Connect is not just inspection, but to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the last person of the society. Making the administration more transparent, accountable and sensitive is the priority of this campaign.

Increased confidence among villagers, strong initiative of good governance

Mission Connect has given a clear message that government schemes will no longer remain limited to paper only, but will bring real change in the villages. The active presence of officials has increased the enthusiasm and confidence among the villagers and this is being considered as a strong step towards good governance.
