Violence erupts in Ujjain, bus set on fire, 5 arrested
New Delhi: Violence erupted in Tarana, Ujjain district, Madhya Pradesh. Rioters targeted several houses with stones and set a bus on fire. Police immediately deployed a large force to the scene. Police personnel are stationed at every corner, and the rioters are being monitored.
The violence stemmed from a dispute between two groups on Thursday, which escalated on Friday. During the violence, the mob pelted several vehicles and houses with stones. Police forces are deployed at all intersections in Tarana.
How many accused were arrested?
Ujjain police have so far arrested five people involved in the violence. The search for the sixth accused is underway. Ujjain SP Pradeep Sharma has taken charge of the situation and issued strict orders for action against the accused.
Based on a complaint filed by Sohel Thakur, police have registered a case of attempted murder against six people. Sohel Thakur is currently under the care of doctors in the hospital, and his condition is reported to be out of danger.
