Now driving a taxi will be cheaper, Tata launched Xpres in petrol-CNG, know the price and benefits.

Tata Taxi Car: Tata Motors, playing a big bet in the taxi and fleet segment, launched “Xpres” (Taxi version of Tigor) has now been launched in petrol and CNG options. Till now this car was available only in electric avatar Xpres-T EV, but by entering with conventional fuel, Tata has given a direct challenge to companies like Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai. This step is part of Tata’s strategy, under which the same model is being launched in the market with different powertrains.

Affordable price, reliable performance

Talking about the prices, the starting ex-showroom price of Xpres petrol has been kept at ₹ 5.59 lakh, while the price of CNG variant starts at ₹ 6.59 lakh. Both variants come with Tata’s tried and tested 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine, which produces 86 hp of power and 113 Nm of torque. This engine has been specially tuned for commercial use, so that taxi and fleet operators can earn more with less expense.

‘twin-cylinder’ Big advantage of technology

The company’s famous ‘twin-cylinder’ technology has been given in the new Tata Xpres CNG. In place of one big cylinder, two small cylinders have been installed, whose total capacity is 70 liters (water capacity). Its biggest advantage is that there is space to keep luggage in the trunk. This is the reason why the petrol variant has a larger boot space of 419 litres, which proves to be very useful for the taxi business.

Simple interior, strong exterior

In comparison to the electric Xpres, the cabin of the petrol and CNG models has been designed in a dual-tone theme. To keep the cost low, audio system is not provided in it. On the outside, 14-inch steel wheels and black wheel covers are available. The design has been completely designed keeping in mind the everyday needs of fleet operators.

Warranty, Service and Fleet Focus

Tata Motors is giving a standard warranty of 3 years or 1,00,000 km on this car, which can be increased to 5 years or 1,80,000 km. Along with this, ‘fleet-only’ Dealerships and service centers have also been started. With flexible finance options, Tata aims to reach out to operators who still prefer petrol and CNG due to lack of charging infrastructure.
