Voice and video calling facility on WhatsApp Web
WhatsApp is now getting ready to provide voice and video calling facility on its web platform. Earlier, users had to resort to the desktop app for calling, but now this problem is about to end. Currently, this feature is only available for select users, and the company is gradually rolling it out to all users. Due to this, it will soon become even easier to use WhatsApp on web browsers.
How to make calling?
Making voice and video calls on WhatsApp Web is very intuitive. Open an individual chat in your browser, and you’ll see a call icon at the top of the chat. By clicking this icon, you can immediately start a voice or video call. For this you do not need to download any software.
Currently only one-on-one calls are available
Currently, calling on WhatsApp Web only works for one-on-one chats. That means, group calling is not available yet. The company is in testing and development of this feature, and group calling feature will be added soon.
Use of end-to-end encryption
WhatsApp says that the company gives priority to privacy. Therefore, all voice and video calls on WhatsApp Web are end-to-end encrypted. This means that your call is only between you and the other party, and no third person can listen to it.
Screen sharing feature support
This new update also includes the feature of screen sharing, which will make meetings, online help or team collaboration even easier. You can share your screen directly from your browser during a video call.
