Punjab Police Transfers: 12 DSPs Shifted to New Assignments

The Punjab Police on Saturday ordered the transfer and posting of 12 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) on administrative grounds, bringing about a significant reshuffle across various departments, including the Intelligence Wing, cyber crime, narcotics, and women and child protection units.
According to the official orders issued by the Police Establishment Committee, the transfers have been made with immediate effect. All officers concerned have been directed to report at their new places of posting by February 11, 2026.

Reporting Instructions
The order states that all transferred officers may be relieved immediately. They have been instructed to report at their new stations by February 11, 2026, in the forenoon.
The officers have also been directed to submit their charge assumption and relinquishment reports to the Police Headquarters without delay.
Administrative Objective
Official sources said the reshuffle aims to strengthen key operational wings, particularly the Intelligence Wing, cyber crime units, narcotics enforcement, and crime investigation branches.
The posting of several officers in sensitive and specialized departments reflects the department’s focus on improving monitoring, investigation, and law enforcement efficiency.
The orders have been issued with the approval of the competent authority and signed by the Director General of Police, Punjab.
