Alessandro Paluzzi, a mobile developer who reverse-engineers apps, has said that Meta is likely to launch its new app called Instants. A reference to the company’s upcoming app was also found on Instagram’s meta page, where Instant was listed as a way to share disappearing photos with friends. A spokesperson for Meta has confirmed that the social media platform is testing another feature called Instants. The feature, formerly known as Shots, is said to be available in a limited test in several countries around the world
According to reports, this in-development feature offers users the facility to send disappearing media to their Direct Messages (DMs) inboxes. Photos disappear after opening and expire after 24 hours. According to reports, Instagram says that the Instants feature can only be used for followers whom you have followed back. Most importantly, Instants once sent cannot be edited again.
