Rijiju’s allegation – Congress MPs misbehaved in the Speaker’s chamber…Flaws pointed out in the notice of no-confidence motion

New Delhi . Political tension has increased further during the budget session of Parliament. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju on Wednesday made serious allegations against Congress MPs, claiming that they entered the chamber of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and misbehaved and abused him. Rijiju made this statement while talking to the media before entering the House on the 11th day of the budget session.

Rijiju alleged that around 20 to 25 Congress MPs reached the Speaker’s chamber and behaved inappropriately. He said that during this time many senior Congress leaders including Priyanka Gandhi, KC Venugopal were also present, but no one tried to calm the situation. According to Rijiju, “The Speaker is extremely hurt by the behavior of the opposition.”

He also reacted to Rahul Gandhi’s alleged statement that he did not need anyone’s permission to speak in the House. Rijiju said, unless the permission of the Speaker is given, no member can speak in the House. The Prime Minister also speaks only with the permission of the Speaker. The proceedings of the House are conducted under rules and traditions.

Many technical flaws in the notice
On the other hand, quoting sources in the Lok Sabha Secretariat, it has also been claimed that many technical flaws have been found in the notice of no-confidence motion brought by the opposition against the Speaker of the Lok Sabha. According to sources, wrong dates are mentioned in the notice at many places and there are also formatting errors. According to the Lok Sabha Secretariat, such notices could have been rejected under the rules. However, it has been told that Speaker Om Birla has directed the Secretariat to complete the further process after removing the shortcomings in the notice.
