‘Dhurandhar’ style proved costly… Congress leader’s close aide waved pistol on ‘FA9LA’ song, video goes viral

Making reels on social media is a common thing these days, but sometimes this hobby can become overwhelming. A similar video of Matin Patel, close to a Congress leader in Kalaburagi, Karnataka, has gone viral, in which he is seen waving a pistol and a gun. As soon as the video surfaced, the police swung into action and started investigating the matter.

It is being told that Matin Patel made a reel on the popular song ‘FA9LA’ from the blockbuster film ‘Dhurandhar’. In the video, he gets down from the black SUV and is seen dancing with his friends. During this time weapons are also seen in his hands. The style of the video is said to be inspired by a film scene, where a character gets a grand welcome. However, such public display of weapons has become a topic of discussion among the people.

What did the police say?

Kalaburagi Police Commissioner Sharanappa SD said that the police is aware of the viral video. He has instructed the officials to investigate where the video was shot and under which police station it falls. Police are also finding out whether the weapons shown in the video are real or fake. If they are found genuine, it will be checked whether they have a valid license. If there is a license, it will also be seen whether the terms and conditions of the license have been violated. If weapons are found illegal, action will be taken under the Arms Act.

What does the law say?

In India, displaying weapons in a public place without proper permission is considered a serious crime. The Arms Act, 1959 and its related rules apply in such cases. The purpose of these laws is to maintain public safety and prevent misuse of weapons.

Legal experts say that the action in this case will depend on whether the weapons were licensed or not and under what circumstances the video was made. Sometimes state governments also impose orders like Section 144, under which carrying or displaying weapons in public places can be completely banned.
