The BANKNIFTY ended at 60,745.35, rising 118.95 points or 0.20%, and the MIDCPNIFTY closed at 13,952.80, nearly unchanged at -0.00%.

Despite the flat headline performance, select stocks in the Nifty 50 index registered notable gains by the close.
