On February 8, her baby shower ceremony was held in a very traditional style, which was attended by family members as well as many close people associated with Bollywood. Sonam herself has shared the video of this special occasion on social media.

In the video shared on Instagram, it can be seen that the family members are performing the baby shower ceremony as per the rituals. During this, ‘Seemantonnayan’ rites were performed as per Sanatan tradition. Sonam also gave information about the importance of this ritual.

Along with the video, he wrote, “Seemantonnayan is the third sanskar among the sixteen sacred womb rites of Sanatan Dharma. It symbolizes respect for the mother and the child in her womb. In different parts of India, it is known by names like Godh Bharai, Srimanta, Dohale Jevan, Shaad, Seemantham, Valaikappu, Seemantha, Pulikudi and Sadabakshan. The names may be different, but the feeling and celebration remains the same.”
The actress will welcome her second child soon
It is noteworthy that Sonam Kapoor had announced her pregnancy on 20 November 2025. She married businessman Anand Ahuja in 2018. The couple welcomed their son Vayu in August 2022. Now the couple is preparing for the arrival of their second child.
