Russia gives open warning to America, has full confidence in India!
New Delhi. Amidst the changing equations of global politics, Russia has once again adopted a clear stance regarding its relations with India. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said during a government session in the State Duma that the agreements between Moscow and New Delhi are not in any danger. His statement has come at a time when a claim by US President Donald Trump had created a stir in diplomatic circles.
Russia’s confidence in India-Russia relations
Lavrov said in clear words that the agreements reached between the top leadership and governments of India and Russia are based on a strong foundation. He also said that he has no official information which proves that India is going to stop buying oil from Russia. Responding to the claim made by the US President, Lavrov indicated that he had not heard any such statement from the Indian Prime Minister or any other Indian official. This statement directly challenges the speculations that India has started distancing itself from Russia.
Confusion regarding oil purchase
It was claimed by America that India has agreed to ban Russian oil imports. However, there has been neither confirmation nor clear denial on this from India’s side. Experts believe that India is adopting a balanced policy keeping in mind its energy needs and global conditions. Fluctuations in oil imports from Russia are possible, but there is no confirmation at present about stopping it completely.
Russia’s strict warning on Greenland
In his address, Lavrov also warned America on the issue of Greenland. He said that if Greenland is militarized in a way that affects Russia’s security, Moscow will not shy away from taking retaliatory measures. He clarified that in such a situation “military-technical” steps can also be taken. Russia links increased US military activity around Greenland to broader global instability, saying the world is undergoing a deep transformation
