Bihar’s 14 year old batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi has won everyone’s hearts with his tremendous performance. Talking to Wisden Cricket, Butcher said that when I saw Vaibhav batting, the first name that came to my mind was Gary Sobers. His style, balance and timing are similar to him (Sobers).

Butcher has also appealed to the fans to watch the footage of Sobers’ six sixes in Swansea in 1968. He claims that Sobers’ bat swing in that match looks exactly like Vaibhav. ‘I would appeal to those in the second generation who don’t have that image of Sir Gary to find the video of his six sixes against Malcolm Nash at Swansea and just watch that. I swear to God, it looks exactly the same’.
