‘I will answer by holding the collar’… Big announcement of expelled MLA Humayun Kabir

digital desk- The political atmosphere in West Bengal is becoming increasingly heated before the assembly elections. Expelled Trinamool Congress MLA Humayun Kabir is once again in the news for his sharp statements. Kabir has claimed that a conspiracy is being hatched to murder him and the administration is taking action against him with ill intentions. He has announced that on February 14, he along with his supporters and workers will take out a huge march from Berhampur Textile Turn in Murshidabad to the SP office. Kabir said that he will “hold the collar and demand answers” and will take the direct path of agitation instead of giving any kind of notice. He claims that one lakh people will participate in this march.

Controversy was created due to stopping of trucks carrying material for construction of mosque.

On Wednesday (February 11), a controversy also arose regarding the construction work of the proposed Babri Masjid in Murshidabad. A tense situation arose after trucks carrying construction material were stopped on the national highway. Police say that the trucks were stopped as a precautionary measure to maintain law and order, while Kabir has called it an attempt to create obstruction by the administration. According to him, it will take about two years to complete the construction of the mosque. Kabir also launched a scathing attack on BJP leader Arjun Singh and accused him of biased action in land-property matters in the district.

The foundation of Babri Masjid was laid in Murshidabad on 6 December.

He claimed that in the case related to his daughter’s building, instead of freezing only the land, the entire building was frozen, which shows the “bad intentions” of the administration. It is noteworthy that Humayun Kabir had laid the foundation of Babri Masjid in Murshidabad on 6 December, after which he was expelled from Trinamool Congress. After this he formed his new party ‘Janata Unnayan Party’. He is continuously adopting an attacking stance on both Mamata Banerjee government and BJP.
