Same design, change with new technology

Apple AirTag 2: New edition, new technology

If you often forget your keys, bag or backpack, Apple’s **AirTag** can prove to be a useful device for you. After almost five years, the company has launched its new version **AirTag 2** in India. It looks the same as before, but many technical changes from inside make it even smarter.

Price and availability in India

AirTag 2 is available in India on Apple’s website, Apple Store, and Amazon. Its price has been set at ₹3,790 (single piece) and ₹12,900 (four-pack). If you want to track multiple items, it may be more economical to get a four-pack.

Same design, but improved technology

There is no change in the design of this new model. It comes with the same round shape, the same size and the same CR2032 battery, which lasts for a year. This means that accessories you purchased for your old AirTag, like key chains and holders, will still work. The real difference comes from the new **Ultra Wideband** chip in it.

Precision finding and better range

With this new chip, AirTag 2 can be detected from a greater distance than before. It already displays directional arrows on your iPhone when searching for lost items. This feature is very helpful especially in crowded places or indoor environments.

Improve speaker sound

Apple claims that the new speaker sounds 50% louder. In actual use, this sound sounds even more impressive. Whether the AirTag is under the sofa or in the bag, its sound is very clear. With this, finding lost things has become easier than ever.

Apple Watch Support

The new model also now has the option to track the AirTag directly through the Apple Watch. Although it may take a little time to find the settings, once setup, the feature is extremely convenient.

Reliable for daily use

The look of AirTag 2 may be the same, but the improvements made inside make it more reliable. Better range and louder sound make it more helpful in everyday life. If you’re already using an AirTag, it might make sense to get the new model. But if your old AirTags are working fine and you don’t usually lose things, upgrading may not be necessary.
