Ghaziabad’s luxury hotel became a den of prostitution! Sex racket of 500 girls, foreign girls also included
Uttar Pradesh: A big high-profile sex racket has been busted in Vaishali area of Ghaziabad. Police raided Mahagun Sarovar Portico Hotel, where illegal prostitution was going on. Pictures of more than 500 girls were found in this racket from the manager’s phone, while foreign women were also involved in it. Police rescued 11 girls and arrested three people.
Raid and rescue operation
At around 2 pm on Wednesday, the police received secret information that a sex racket was going on in the hotel. Kaushambi and Indirapuram police team under the leadership of ACP Indirapuram Abhishek Srivastava raided this 4 star hotel located in Sector-3F Vaishali. As soon as the police arrived, there was chaos there. Many people were successful in trying to escape.
Police rescued 11 girls from different rooms. These girls are aged between 21 to 31 years and had come from states like Gujarat, Delhi, West Bengal, Odisha. During interrogation, he told that he was brought there on the pretext of job, but later he was forcefully pushed into this dirty business.
Accused’s relation with political party
Police have named hotel manager Rahul Sharma (46) as the main accused in the racket. Apart from him, waiter Sunil Singh (39) and Ankit Chauhan (19) were also arrested. The absconding accused include Sumit Rawat (Kotdwar, Uttarakhand), Nakosand and Afzal. According to some sources, the innocent is said to be related to some political party. Police is busy searching for them.
How the racket was busted
The accused used to send pictures and rate lists of girls to customers through WhatsApp. Customers used to come to the hotel after liking it. 15 to 20 thousand rupees were charged from the customers for one night, while the girls got only 5 thousand rupees. Many times the girls were also sent to other hotels, where rooms were booked online.
Pictures of more than 500 girls and numbers of more than 100 customers were found from the manager’s phone. Some girls told that foreign women also used to come into this business, which makes the racket seem bigger.
Police investigation started
Police are now examining phone data, chats and customer lists. Many big names may come forward. The girls have been kept safe and their statements are being recorded. This case is a big action against the increasing sex trafficking in NCR. Police say that the absconding accused will be caught soon.
