Nepal’s batsmen proved to be tough in front of Italy, team collapsed for 123, Krishan Kalugamage took 3 wickets.

NEP vs ITA: The 17th match of T20 World Cup 2026 is being played between Nepal and Italy at Wankhede Cricket Stadium in Mumbai. In this match, Italy captain Harry Manenti won the toss and invited Nepal captain Rohit Paudel to bat first. Batting first, Nepal scored 123 runs at the loss of 10 wickets in 20 overs. No batsman could play long innings for the team. Now Italy needs 124 runs to win this match.

Nepal had a bad start

In this match, Kushal Bhurtel and Asif Sheikh came to open the innings for Nepal. While Kushal returned to the pavilion after scoring 5 runs, Asif played an inning of 20 runs. Captain Rohit Paudel contributed 23 runs for the team. Deependra Singh Airi has returned to the pavilion after scoring 17 runs.

Arif Sheikh scored 27 runs

Apart from these batsmen, no other batsman of the team could play a big innings. Arif Shaikh scored the maximum runs for the team. He played an innings of 27 runs with 3 fours in 24 balls and was the team’s top scorer in this match. Karan KC contributed 18 runs. For Italy, Ben Manenti took 2 wickets and Krishan Kalugamage took 3 wickets.
