Success story of ‘Border 2’ at the box office

Success story of the film

Mumbai: Sunny Deol’s film ‘Border 2’, which is a patriotic war drama, is holding its own at the box office. The film was released on Republic Day and has now entered its third week. On the 20th day, the film collected a nett of Rs 1.75 crore in India, its lowest single-day collection till date.

Will ‘Border 2’ be able to cross the Rs 350 crore mark?

According to Sacknilk, the total net collection of the film is now around Rs 316 crore. On the previous day, the film earned Rs 2.5 crore, which is 25% more than Day 18’s Rs 2 crore. However, in the third week, a general decline is being seen on weekdays, with the decline being around 30% on Day 20. The film performed well over the weekend, earning Rs 5.25 crore on Day 16 (Saturday) and Rs 7.25 crore on Day 17 (Sunday).

In the third week, a trend of around Rs 2 crore is being seen on weekdays. The film had a great opening, 30 crores on the first day, 59 crores on Republic Day and more than 224 crores in the first week. The film earned around Rs 70 crore in the second week also. Strong performance in the first two weeks has taken it into the long haul. Globally, the film has crossed the Rs 426-432 crore mark.

Film budget and audience reaction

According to some reports, the gross collection has been Rs 55 crore from overseas and Rs 377 crore in India. Some sources estimate it to be as high as Rs 460-467 crore globally. The budget of the film is around Rs 175-275 crore, which has already been recovered and is now giving good profits. Starring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty and Sonam Bajwa, the film is a sequel to the 1997 classic ‘Border’ directed by Anurag Singh.

Filled with patriotic themes, emotional scenes and action, the film has received positive response from audiences and critics. Now it remains to be seen whether the film will be able to reach Rs 350 crore nett. If there is a good boost over the weekend in the coming days and the hold remains strong, then the figure of Rs 330-340 crore can be easily crossed.

movie predictions

If the daily collection of Rs 1.5-2 crore continues in the remaining days of the third week and the fourth week, then the target of Rs 350 crore is possible. As of now, it is being considered as one of the biggest hits of 2026 and is proving to be another superhit after Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’. Fans hope that the journey of the film is not over yet.
