Rajpal Yadav: Film actor Rajpal Yadav will now have to stay in Tihar jail. A hearing was held in the Delhi High Court on Thursday regarding the actor’s bail plea in the check bounce case. But the court refused to grant bail and rejected the petition.
Next hearing on 16 February
On February 12, a hearing was held in Delhi High Court regarding the bail plea of actor Rajpal Yadav. The actor’s lawyer said in the court that he wants to repay the Rs 5 crore that Rajpal Yadav had invested in the film. Till now an amount of Rs 3 crore has also been returned. They want to resolve the matter.
During this, even after listening to all the arguments, the court reprimanded the actor. The court said that you had said that you would return the money, but even after so much time, you did not return the amount. For this reason you had to surrender in jail. Along with this, the High Court has also issued a notice to Murali Project Company regarding the petition to cancel the sentence of Rajpal Yadav. Now the next hearing in the case will be on Monday i.e. 16th February.
‘Got 25-30 chances, but did not keep the promise’
While hearing the case, Justice Swarnakanta Sharma said, ‘Rajpal has said many times that he will return the loan. He was sentenced only because he did not repay the loan. You were given chances 25-30 times. But still you did not return the money. Then why is there a demand for release now? Don’t understand why this debate is happening.
Loan was taken for ‘Ata Pata Lapata’
Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav had taken a loan of about Rs 9 crore to make the film ‘Ata Pata Lapata’. Rajpal Yadav himself was the director of this film. But this film proved to be a huge flop at the box office and Rajpal Yadav could not repay his loan. After this the matter reached the court.
However, many film personalities have extended a helping hand to Rajpal. Sonu Sood has said that all the people of Bollywood should collect money, so that Rajpal Yadav can be helped.
