**Superstar Rajinikanth** met the cast and crew of Tamil romantic drama **With Love** in a heartwarming meeting. The meeting follows the film’s stellar box office performance since its release on February 6, 2026. The meeting took place soon after the massive opening collection (net collection of ₹11 crore in India on opening day, and a steady hold on weekdays). The meeting was special for his daughter **Soundarya Rajinikanth** who is one of the co-producers of the film along with Magesh Raj Pasilian under MRP Entertainment and Zayn Films.
Soundarya shared an emotional video on social media, captioning it: “With love, my one and only, my appa. It’s not just a meeting, it’s an emotion. Superstar @rajinikanth praises the #WithLove team. Precious moment!” In the clip, Rajinikanth is seen praising the team, calling the film a “very important, original, courageous and one-of-a-kind film”, and motivating the young cast and crew. The group included lead actors **Abhishan Jeevinth** (his first major lead film since Tourist Family) and **Anaswara Rajan** (her Tamil lead debut), music composer **Shawn Roldan**, and others.
Directed by debutant **Madhan**, **With Love** is a teen romantic comedy-drama with relatable storytelling, school memories, blind dates and heart-touching emotions (Runtime ~140-141 mins). In this, Abhishan Satya and Anaswara are in the role of Monisha, along with Saravanan, Ayaz Khan, Harish Kumar, Kavya Anil, Sachin Natchiappan and Ravi Maria are also in supporting roles. Shreyas Krishna’s cinematography and Suresh Kumar’s editing contribute to its praiseworthy simplicity and performance.
The success of the film—which quickly recovered its modest ₹4 crore budget—earned Rajinikanth support, emboldening the new team. On the work front, Rajinikanth’s next film is **Thalaivar 173** (tentative title), produced by **Kamal Haasan** under Raj Kamal Films International and directed by **Sibi Chakraborty** (replacing Sundar C). Shooting is set to begin soon, and the target is to release in Pongal 2027. Rajinikanth was last seen in **Coolie** (directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj), a dockyard-set action film in which an old coolie investigates a smuggling racket and friend’s death.
