‘CATS’ began airing in early 2000. In this, Nafisa Joseph, Kuljeet Randhawa and Malini Sharma were in the role of ‘Spies’ respectively. The show was the desi version of ‘Charlie’s Angels’ and aired in 2001 for 32 episodes.
Nafisa Joseph’s tragic end
Nafisa Joseph played the lead role in this show. Apart from being a model and VJ, she was also ‘Miss India’. She committed suicide on 29 July 2004 after facing betrayal in love by her former fiancé. This incident also left his parents in deep sorrow.
Kuljeet Randhawa’s shocking step
Kuljeet Randhawa, who was a close friend of Nafisa, died on 8 February 2006. At that time he was only 30 years old. Kuljeet also took the extreme step of suicide, and at the time of his death a suicide note was found in which he talked about not being able to face the challenges of life.
Malini Sharma’s disappearance
The third actress of this team, Malini Sharma, who had also worked in singer Mika Singh’s “Saawan Mein Lag Gayi Aag” video, later distanced herself from the world of glamour. He was married to ‘Tum Bin’ fame Priyanshu Chatterjee, but faced divorce after marriage. After this his absence from the film industry surprised his fans.
