Abhishek Sharma OUT, Sanju Samson IN: Two changes decided in India’s playing eleven against Namibia
India vs Namibia Playing XI : The 18th match of T20 World Cup 2026 is to be played between India and Namibia. This match of Group A will be held at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The hosts may not be feeling the pressure ahead of this match, but that’s what happened in the first innings against the USA. There is a need to learn a lesson from him. At the same time, India may have to take the field without its star opening batsman Abhishek Sharma.

Actually, Abhishek Sharma had to be admitted to the hospital due to stomach problem. He was discharged a day before the Namibia match, but it seems unlikely that India will bring him back anytime soon as he has to come back at short notice and travel before the next game, which will be against Pakistan in Colombo. Sanju Samson played long hitting throughout the practice sessions two days before the match and batted again the day before the match, when fewer players had turned up. On both days, he batted alongside Ishan Kishan, and is expected to open on Thursday.
On the other hand, Jasprit Bumrah has also recovered after fever. He sweated hard in the nets. After the return of Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, who bowled brilliantly against USA, may have to sit out. Apart from these two changes, captain Surya Kumar Yadav will hardly think of making any changes.
