T20WC 2026 NEP vs ITA Playing 11: Rohit Paudel-led Nepal will square off against Harry Manenti-led Italy in the 17th match of the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 on February 12 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
Both Nepal and Italy suffered a defeat in the only group stage match they played so far in the ongoing T20 World Cup campaign and will be aiming for a win to advance in the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 points table.
Italy won the toss and opted to bowl. Speaking at the toss, Wayne Madsen said, ”
Meanwhile, Rohit Paudel said, “We are going to bowl first. There seems to be a little bit of moisture in the wicket, and it should do a bit. So yeah, just trying to make the best use of the new ball upfront.”
“We couldn’t really gain momentum in our previous game and yeah Scotland is a good side. Today we take on another good side in the form of Nepal.”

“Marcus Campopiano comes in today. He has played a lot of cricket for Italy. We have another change as well. We want to be brave all the time. We are playing teams much better than us. We are the outsiders in a way and would like to put up a show.”
“Been a long time since I last captained. Italy cricket has made big strides. Very exciting to be here in Mumbai and Nepal is a great side. To lead this squad of really good men is a privilege,” concluded Harry Manenti.
Meanwhile, Rohit Paudel said, “We would have bowled first to be honest. However, the toss is not in our control so now we will look to bat well. Hopefully it will spin in the second innings.
“It is a great advantage to have. Especially playing in Asian conditions and playing all games at this ground. We will make use of it.”
“We realised that closing games is an area where we can improve in batting and bowling. So, if we hold our nerves we can do well in such situations.”
“Great to have fans like ours. They motivate us a lot. After the England game we saw many social media posts. A lot of people watched us back in Nepal. It helps us a lot,” added Rohit Paudel.
