Tezzbuzz Desk- In the T20 World Cup 2026, India has almost confirmed its place in the Super 8 by giving a crushing defeat to Namibia. After USA, this big victory over Namibia has further strengthened the confidence of Team India.
Batting first, then strong bowling. Captain Suryakumar Yadav once again lost the toss and India was invited to bat first. However, this time the team showed aggressive attitude from the beginning.
The opening pair Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan decided the course of the match in the powerplay itself. As soon as Sanju came, he scored 22 runs by hitting three sixes and one four, but he could not last long.
After this, Ishan Kishan batted in a stormy style and completed his half-century in just 20 balls. He spoiled the rhythm of Namibia’s bowlers by scoring 61 runs in 24 balls.
Even though some batsmen in the middle order did not live up to the expectations, Hardik Pandya once again took the responsibility. He played an explosive inning of 52 runs in 28 balls and also took two wickets.
This all-round performance by Pandya completely turned the match in India’s favor. Tilak Varma contributed 25 runs, while captain Suryakumar Yadav was out after scoring 12 runs in 13 balls.
India’s middle order did not perform well in this match. Rinku Singh was out after scoring only 1 run, while Axar Patel returned to the pavilion on the very first ball. Shivam Dube scored 23 runs, but he could not bat freely.
India scored a strong score of 209 runs in the stipulated 20 overs.
While chasing the target of 209 runs, Namibia’s team looked under pressure. Wickets kept falling at regular intervals and the entire team could score only 116 runs. Namibian captain Gerhard Erasmus definitely showed struggle by taking four wickets, but he did not get enough support from the batsmen.
