Effect of cold reduced, signs of departure of winter in the state, mercury crossed 30 degrees

Bhopal. There are now signs of farewell to winter in Madhya Pradesh. In more than 15 cities of the state, the day temperature has reached above 30 degrees Celsius, while the night temperature is also being recorded above 10 degrees. Although mild cold may persist for the next two days, but after this the minimum temperature is likely to increase by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius.

According to the Meteorological Department, two western disturbances are becoming active in the western Himalayan region on 13 and 16 February. Their impact will be greater in the hilly areas, whereas in Madhya Pradesh its impact is likely to be limited. At present, due to the active system, light clouds are being seen in the western parts of the state. The weather patterns changed in some districts on Wednesday and there are chances of cloudy weather on Thursday also. Snowfall continues in the hilly areas. The weather may change again after the system passes and the snow melts. In such a situation, a short period of mild winter may be seen again. It is forecast that there will be light fog in some districts on February 14. There is no rain alert. It may be cloudy during the day. At the same time, light fog may occur in some districts on February 15.

On Friday, maximum temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius were recorded in 15 cities in the state including Dhar, Narmadapuram, Indore, Khandwa, Khargone, Ratlam, Ujjain, Khajuraho, Mandla, Narsinghpur and Seoni. At the same time, the temperature in Narmadapuram and Sagar remained 17 degrees or more at night. The lowest minimum temperature was recorded at Pachmarhi at 8.2 degrees. The temperature was recorded at 8.6 degrees in Khajuraho, 9.7 degrees in Mandsaur, 10 degrees in Karaundi of Katni, 10.2 degrees in Rewa and 10.4 degrees Celsius in Rajgarh. In other cities of the state the night temperature remained above 10 degrees.
