7 people died in a horrific road accident in Karnataka, traffic disrupted
A horrific road accident in Karnataka’s Bengaluru Rural district on Friday morning left seven families in deep shock. Several vehicles collided with each other near M. Satyavara village on Hoskote-Dabaspete National Highway on the outskirts of Hoskote. Seven people died in the accident. The accident was so serious that there was chaos on the spot and traffic was disrupted for some time.
Which vehicles collided?
According to police officials, a sports utility vehicle (SUV), a motorcycle and a canter truck were involved in this accident. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the SUV was going from Hoskote towards Devanahalli. During this time the driver lost control of the vehicle. The uncontrolled SUV hit the motorcycle moving ahead. The situation worsened after the collision and the canter truck coming from behind also got involved in the accident.
In this horrific collision, six people traveling in the SUV died on the spot. At the same time, the person driving the motorcycle also died. According to the police, the process of identification of the dead is going on. Based on initial information, it is feared that all the deceased were residents of Kothanur area of Bengaluru. After the accident, family members and local people reached the spot, due to which the atmosphere became very emotional.
What did Karnataka Police say?
Karnataka Police said that the bodies have been sent to the government hospital in Hoskote for post-mortem. A case has been registered in connection with the accident and a detailed investigation has been initiated on the basis of the First Information Report (FIR). Police are trying to find out why the driver lost control and whether speeding or negligence was a reason behind the accident.
This incident has once again raised questions on the need for road safety and caution on national highways. The local administration has appealed to the people to follow the speed limit and be cautious while driving, so that such tragic incidents can be avoided.
