Delhi Metro’s longest line will be Magenta, it will have the maximum number of underground and interchanges.
Delhi Metro: Delhi Metro has become the lifeline of Delhi-NCR. The Magenta Line of Metro is going to be the longest metro line of Delhi in the coming time. This line will have the most underground stations and the most number of interchanges. This will make traveling in different areas of Delhi and NCR easier. This line is being expanded in two phases. Like the line is being expanded under Phase-4 and Phase-5 (A). After the extension, the Magenta Line will run from Botanical Garden to Indralok, whose total length will be about 89 kilometers.
There will be 21 interchange stations
After completion of the project, there will be a total of 21 interchange stations on this line. Presently there are four interchanges on this line, which include Kalkaji Temple, Botanical Garden, Janakpur West and Hauz Khas. After the expansion, 17 more interchanges will be developed on this line, which will include Central Secretariat, New Delhi, Azadpur, New Delhi and Indralok Triple Interchange stations etc.
40 stations will be underground
There will be a total of 65 stations on the entire Magenta Line, of which more than 40 stations will be underground. With the opening of this line the travel time will be reduced. Traffic pressure will reduce. The public transport system will be further strengthened. The Magenta Line is known for its engineering achievements, with Haiderpur Badli Mor station being the highest elevated station in the Delhi Metro. Hauz Khas metro station will be the deepest underground metro station.
